I wish I didn’t love you so.
I am the stream complaining as I go,
And you the slope that makes me flow.
I am the sea under troubled skies,
And you the moon that makes me rise.
I am the moth with fluttering flight,
And you the candle’s gentle light.
I the arrow, you the bow:
I’ll wait forever, ‘till let go.
I wish I didn’t love you so.
