“Did you miss me, ” she wrote inquisitively?
“When we dance in the dark and the music stops suddenly Do we miss it? ” he wrote.
“Most certainly our bodies cease to sway.”
“When our kite soars above, and the wind ceases completely
Do we miss it? ” he wrote.
“Surely our kite plummets downward.”
“When a cold rain extinguishes our fire’s warmth thoroughly
Do we miss it? ” he wrote.
“Clearly familiar warmth gives way to nature’s chill”.
“Do I miss you? ” he reflects. “I miss me!
For your return is my return,
and I wait for you to bring me to myself.”
