we are wondering where the hours flew,
though many have passed and changed your face
and your laugh,
I am still in the same house,
how you move with such grace and efficiency
my sister,
in the sense that you still call
me without reason,
I do sit at desks and cars and
pray for all of you
and though you’ve believed me godless
have faith in this: I do love you
when the shields falter, recoil and retract
into the doorways I wandered when I could
not speak my own name,
I promise
I will finally speak your's aloud
