ANDREW BLAKEMORE - A Christian Land

2014-11-10 19 Dailymotion

While sunlight rises in the sky
And clouds upon the hills do lie,
While silver streams and rivers flow
And restless winds do surely blow,
While blossom drapes the boughs of spring
And swallows soar upon the wing,
While emerald forests filled with song
At one with God I shall belong.

While fills of corn do sweep in gold
And heather lines the valleys bold,
As autumn comes and summer ends
The greatest scenes my Saviour sends,
The sunsets as the evenings rest
To watch those colours manifest,
Each night the stars do softly shine
I feel the hand of God divine.

While winter snows begin to thaw
And bluebells grace the way once more,
I'll know my Lord is all around
To paint the trees and wash the ground,
With riches for my eyes to see
And may they last eternally,
For while the rugged mountains stand
Then this shall be a Christian land.
