When old friends disappear
for whatever the reason,
new friends come along
never to take their place
but just to stand beside you
whenever you need a friend.
The old friends live within your heart
though their time may have come to part;
they will remain in your memory,
as each day passes
just like your new friends will do
when their time comes to part.
