MY MIND IS NOT A COMPLEX POEM
My mind is not a complex poem
That makes a metaphor of rhyme-
Or understands the simple beat,
Of an imperfect right offline.
My mind is old and wandering
And trusts itself to carry on.
The poem it comes to turns to stone
And weighs upon a soul unsung.
