She looked deep into her heart for another moment.... another inkling of hope.... another reason to kiss.
She looked up into his eyes for another sign that he stilled loved her.
She looked at the back of her eyelids and into her subconcious for a sign that she could see herself with him in the future.
She, instead, imagined swimming in the milky way. She tangoed under the stars with saturn's moons, spinning, twirling, running revolutions through orbital inclinations.
She then found herself falling into the warmth of the sun, falling to a greater place. So scared, yet, at peace with her inner piece of mind.
So full of regrets, but, maybe they're all the right types.
'Why not sooner? Why not longer? Why not me? Why not him? Why not now when my heart needs sustinance? '
As a tear fell down her cheek, she falls into the solar warmth of his flare, of his arms, of his scent, of his love, of his..... kiss.
Bc her heart couldn't properly mature on a diet of applesauce and crushed pears, he stuffed it full of valentines candy and Happy endings, wishing he'd've found the recipe sooner.
Coming down from lunar ships and grand ballrooms of the cosmic degree, she found that her hearts fingers could feel warmth again.... And that the stars were in her eyes.
