Emotions crash around within me like a hurricane
They hit me in hard waves, heartless unrelenting over and over
Wind thrashing my hair around
Rain in my eyes mask the tears falling down
So lost and confused don't know where to turn
These thoughts have my brain in a whirl
Spin round and round
No where to run
No where to hide
The structure of my life is little by little cracking around me
Remorselessly destroying all that's in its path
Where is it all going to end?
Will anyone be left to help pick up these scattered pieces?
Living this life is slowly killing me
Day by day
Week by week
I keep so much within
It's consuming me
Every thought, every action, every word is
A battle within
I can't fight any longer
Sleepless nights
Never ending days
This life just blurred together
Filled with anger and hate
A spark of hope shows just beyond the horizon
The dark hurricane clouds fade away as rays of bright sun burst through
How long is it going to last?
Is it just the eye of the storm?
Living this life is an endless battle of false hopes
And catastrophe...
