After he heard the shatter
He took a step back,
And realized his dream was just a single shard
Amongst thousands of his blessings
I put the pieces together
And found that I myself was broken,
Fragmented over time
With hair line fractures on my surface
At a moment's notice I'll be ready to crack
And when I shattered
The world took a step forward
And found a missing piece to the puzzle
That could have kept me together
