The direction of my life
An empty binnacle
Head strong and heading nowhere fast
Stubborn like a windblown mast
In a maelstrom of scattered thought
Fair ye well, I fair not
Tumult and chaos in endless bound
Tossed and torn asunder, I am
On this wave less drift aground
To sail a path I have not found
From the crow’s nest, view
My hopes all drown
Beyond the arc of the horizon
Sets life’s frown
There lies the compass of my life
