I punished him Because of what you didn't do
I didn't let him because I was waiting for you to come thur
I held his place in my heart for you
What a pointless thing of me to do
I should have let him be a father to me
Something you never wanted to be, Clearly
He and I fought, I pushed him away
Now that he's gone I can't think of one thing to say
I didnt want him to replace you
Now I know that's something he could never do
Their no replacing what I never knew
Their will never be a father inside of you
