introduced us to her friends today:
The bald little girl
with the cancerous eyes
The pregnant man
with the kidney tumor
The father
eaten away by the tentacles of a mole
Some of us cried when we met them -
felt the need to touch someone,
share the hurt.
Some snickered.
(if you never look Death in the face
He won't find you)
