Last night when I went walking
It was past witching hour
I travelled many sprightly miles
But stopped to pick a flower
I saw myself enlightened
I thought I was alone
But my kindness and my gratitude
Had turned his heart to stone
You fought off raging blackness
You bade me stallion's reigns
Look out look I heard you say
On deaf ears you complained
You picked me up and swaddled me
In your starlight sail
You shook me for my benefit
Alas to no avail
Wake up wake up your earthlings
See what you have achieved
Your Mother calls out daily
of her cancer's pain
You have only one Mama
But her treatment is disdain
And now go back afore
My starlight is in shade
But please remember, think on this
That even bright stars fade.
