Have you ever felt a certain way
About someone who see almost everyday
Never knowing what to say
But trying to keep your feelings at bay
The last thing I expected was to fall in love
With a girl who is God's gift from above
But that's exactly what I did
And from her my emotions I hid
I could never gain the courage to ask her out
Cause I thought she'd say no and confirm my doubts
I was stupid to care so much about my pride
And I should have pushed my fears aside
I should have asked her out when I had the chance
Even though she could probably tell from a quick glance
But now it's too late
All I ever wanted was one date
One date to make her see
That the person who was there all along was me
