I have to tell you how I feel
I have to tell you for my heart to heal
I think I'm falling in love with you
Now I'm wanting to be your boo
I'm trying to hold my feelings back
But subtlety is what I lack
I'm pouring my heart into every word
Making the most beautiful poem you've ever heard
I look into your eyes and see into your soul
Just one day with you would be my goal
Go for what's in your heart is what they say
But I'm too used to keeping my feelings at bay
Time after time people ask what I see in you
If they could only see you how I do
Why should I write this if we'll never be
Why should I write this if you think nothing of me
Another day passes and my feelings for you grow stronger
I feel that I can't keep them inside any longer
This is the third poem I've written without telling you what I feel
The third time thinking if being with you could be real
The first person I loved broke my heart
She threw me aside and I fell apart
When my heart she did sever
I vowed never to love anyone ever
That was before I met you
And wanted to become your boo
As eloquent as my poems are
They don't do you any justice by far
Just two days ago we stood face to face
And just like that my heart and brain began to race
Just then I wanted to let it out
And tell you what I'd been holding in without a doubt
Instead I just stood there and tensed up
Feeling just as lost as a young pup
I blew my chance to say what was needed
It was like I wanted to be held and leaded
So I'll say now what I didn't have the balls to say
