What was I thinking when night after night I prayed
Certainly it wasn't what I feel today
Blue shouldn't be the way someone feels but the color of the sky
And I definitely shouldn't be sitting here asking myself why
Why I am so upset with you
Why I'm questioning love I thought was true
Maybe it's the love I feel that gets me to this place
A place where I can't bear to even look you in the face
Without breaking down and giving into my fears
Without breaking down and giving into tears
The other poems used the word love synonymously with like
Seems those poems were written by a little tyke
This group of poems use love in its actual diction
And to say anything different would be complete fiction
It's just that I'm confused about what I should do
For conflicting emotions is what I feel about you
I can't do this right now and you know the reason why
I have to bottle up my love and say goodbye
