17 children blow up everything that doesn't move, their gestures and cries inexhaustible. Magnificent heroes of an unwritten war: while the French army shoots down the OAS, children pillage oil, chocolate, semolina, and sugar from the French army. They even take someone prisoner, who is sentenced to eat a plate of beans. But war catches up with this fine adventure and bloodies the beans.
With the imaginative and transgressive power of childhood, this film recounts the end of French Algeria.
