It's not quite Thanksgiving without the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and on Thursday scores of people line the streets of Manhattan for the annual holiday tradition.
Crowds cheer the passing floats and famous Macy's balloons, including long-time favorites like Snoopy as well and the ever-popular Spider Man.

And it's not quite New York without a little Broadway thrown in.
Pop star Sting was also on hand for a rousing song from his musical, "The Last Ship".

Other celebrity performers included the band Kiss and Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers.
Macy's says the parade, now in its 88th year, typically draws some 50 million viewers nationwide, making this a rousing part of the Thanksgiving holiday tradition.
