Under the dark cloud of allegations of sexual assault, comedian Bill Cosby has resigned from the board of trustees of Temple University, his alma mater said in a statement issued on Monday (December 01).
More than a dozen women have come forward in the past few weeks with accusations that Cosby, 77, sexually assaulted them at some point over the past few decades.
The board of trustees said the resignation comes as a result of Cosby not wanting his personal issues to detract from his service to the school.
