Ryanair profits set for take off

Ryanair has raised its full-year profit forecast for the second time in a month. It comes following a 22 percent jump in passenger numbers to 6.35 million in the year to November.

The Irish airline said it now expected profits to be between 810 and 830 million euros. Last month it had raised its profit outlook by 20 percent.

The company said the jump in passenger numbers was in part due to the improvements it has made to its much-criticised customer service.

Since a pledge last year by Chief Executive Michael O’Leary to stop “unnecessarily pissing people off,” Ryanair has slashed penalty charges.
