Civil courage requires bravery. Tugce Albayrak paid for her bravery with her life. The 22-year-old student stepped in to protect two teenage girls who were being harassed by men at a fast-food outlet in Offenbach.
But is it always the right thing to do to step into disputes? Does this idea encourage people to take unnecessary risks with their own safety? Should the state play the major role in providing security?
