Today marks the 10th anniversary of the historic meeting between the iconic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro and then Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez that led to the birth of the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), a political, economic and social block of progressive Latin American countries.
