KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan said the Sindh government is upbraiding former Nazims in order to keep its corruption under wraps, SAMAA reported Friday.
Fuming over Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon’s remarks regarding the UC and town nazims of Karachi, he said Memon’s accusation is nothing but a pack of lies.
It should be mentioned here that at least 18 town administrators in the metropolis have remained involved in past in letting large swathes of government land fall in the hands of illegal occupiers.
The provincial minister also vowed that he will personally see the encroachments like unlawful marriage halls and restaurants are razed to the ground, adding Sindh government was striving to undo the “incompetency” of the provincial regimes of the past.
Khawaja stressed the Haq Parast nazims were widely hailed at international level, adding the situation is still worse in Larkana and Khairpur even after 50 years. –SAMAA
