The nation’s leading non-alcoholic beverage companies have increased the fuel economy of their fleets by almost 13 percent since 2010. That’s the bottom line of a recent survey by the American Beverage Association. The data shows that the beverage industry, with the largest fleet of fuel-efficient, heavy-duty, hybrid commercial vehicles in North America, has increased fuel economy industry-wide by three percent a year since 2010, resulting in a 12.6 percent total increase in fuel efficiency projected through the end of this year.
