Sadly, almost no information is available about this totally forgotten Canadian band. James McIntyre, a Scottish born violinist, led his Château Laurier Orchestra, at the Château Laurier Hotel in Ottawa, Ontario during the 1920’s and 1930. All of the research material about this obscure Canadian orchestra points to the fact that he broadcast live from the hotel five nights a week. He only made one single record. According to Jack Litchfield’s discography entitled “The Canadian Victor 216000 Series-Estimating The Recording Dates”, it is presumed that the record was released around May, 1925.
