Sadly this bandleader is totally forgotten today. Even Rust omits this orchestra! I found no biographical data about him, only part of the musicians who might have been the personnel playing during this session in 1929. Billboard, on May 31, 1930, gave the personel of this band then as Norman Lanning-Al Riddle-Ferdie Stumph-cl-as-ts/Fritz Prospero-vn/Herman Mahr-p/Art Mahon-bj/Ed Radel-bb/Laurence Condon-d/Jack Carney-vocalist. It is weird to see that Tom Clines is not even included... As for the vocalist Jack Carney, he is equally overlooked in reference sources. Any additional information is most appreciated.
