The Ecuadoran Attorney General's Office has brought charges against an additional 10 suspects in the failed September 2010 coup attempt to overthrow President Rafael Correa's government. Thus far 620 suspects have been formally accused in what began as a police rebellion over a perceived loss of work-related benefits but that turned into an attempt to depose the democratically elected president.
