A little strategy I stumbled upon trying to get Cainhurst Badge as soon as I could. I was struggling a little with my Kirkhammer 3 and low level character, until I realised you could trade a gunshot with his quick sword attacks in the second form, and heal the health back with a Visceral Attack.
