Since the start of the Arab Spring, the Syrian government has accused Western governments of aiding armed extremist groups and, along with their allies, attempting to sow divisions in the Arab world. This has led to instability in Syria and Yemen. Public opinion in the Arab world views the Saudi coalition's backing and financing of terrorist groups in Syria and its airstrikes on Yemen as being undertaken in Israel's interest. Meanwhile, the Syrian Army continues in its efforts to recapture the northwestern city of Jisr Al-Shogor from Turkish backed extremist groups. Nashwan Abdullah reports from Damascus. teleSUR
