After a week of demonstrations sparked by the death of Freddie Gray, military troops began leaving Baltimore on Sunday. Early in the day Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced the end of the curfew she had imposed last Tuesday to control irate protests over the death of Freddie Gray who suffered fatal injuries while in police custody. Protesters celebrated on Friday after Prosecuting Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced that the six officers involved in Gray’s death would face criminal charges including murder and manslaughter. She said Gray had committed no crime at the time of his arrest on April 12. Upon lifting the curfew, the Mayor said that getting back to normal will be her focus for this week. teleSUR
