The Airdog is the world's first autonomous sports drone camera. It uses GPS and movement tracking sensors to follow users.

According to Engadget, the AirDog is a quadcopter drone that carries a GoPro camera in a protective case. The drone uses gyro stabilisation technology to ensure the subject is always in frame. It can reach speeds of 40 mph and has a flight time of up to 15 minutes. The AirDog is connected to a programmed remote using long range Bluetooth.

The remote needs to be strapped to users, which enables the AirDog to track the user's location using a range of different sensors including GPS. It can take off and land automatically and follows the user by constantly tracking his position. The AirDog has preset flight modes to track different sports, including surfing, motocross, wakeboarding and skateboarding.
