Then Salman Khan was finalized for the role. But keeping his court troubles in mind, Karan and Salman decided to wisely part ways as it was turning out to be a risky venture, with a huge budget at stake. Now, finally Varun Dhawan has replaced Salman and Alia Bhatt has been cast opposite him.
