Today TeleSUR correspondent Leo Poblete speaks with Manuela Sakin, who is studying to become an elementary school teacher and is one of the five million of students and teachers who have received a computer through the new Connect Equality program. The initiative is designed to support the education of students. It also introduces information technology to millions of families who have never had access to a computer. Manuel believes the program is vital in helping people develop the skills necessary to understand and use information technology and giving students more opportunities in their transition to the workforce.
