Bhavnagar: Among the tales of misery in the flooded district, there are stories of many "unsung heroes" who risked their lives to save stranded persons. Even before anybody from government could reach them, people were rescued by locals who risked their own lives to save them. Around 50 persons were rescued by the swimmers with the help of boats. Notably, a stranded person named Ashokbhai called Tv9 reporter and narrated his situation. Following the phone call of Ashokbhai, Tv9 team started its effort and tried to contact district authorities. Finally, after the continuous efforts of Tv9, authorities sent rescue team and saved 50 lives.
