Nrityashree Alaknanda Sanskriti Dance Troupe performs Kathak dance in Delhi.
Alaknanda, born in a family where education is blended with music, has the inborn talent of music and rhythm. Her advance training is imparted by Guru Munna Lal Shukla who has infused in her the poetic essence of the dance form.
She is the Founder, Director and Kathak Guru at Alaknanda Institute of Performing Arts (AIPA), founded in 1990. Alaknanda is an alumini of Kathak Kendra, National School of Kathak Dance, having completed a Post Diploma in 1992. She has completed Graduation (Visharad) with First Divison from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai.She has successfully completed her Diploma in Kathak with Gold Medal from Bangiya Sangeet Kalakendra, Kolkata
Nrityashree Alaknanda believes in encouraging young dancers to showcase their talent and creating opportunities for them to do so. Her dance troupe, Sanskriti was created in 1996 and the group of professional Kathak dancers have accompanied her to various national and international dance performances.
