An anti-austerity demonstration, known as the ‘March of Dignity’, in Madrid resulted in minor clashes that erupted late Saturday evening with protesters lighting fireworks and damaging property. Some of the activists were arrested. Large riot police units patrolled the city center to prevent violence.
