Honduras: Torchlight Marchers Demand Plebiscite

2015-07-30 2 Dailymotion

After two months of anti-government street protests, another torchlight march will be held Wednesday night to pressure lawmakers to hold a plebiscite on the creation of an international anti-impunity commission. A key demand has been the resignation of President Juan Hernandez, who is seen as part of a widespread corruption scandal, but his signature is necessary for the creation of the commission. Protesters believe that stepped up protests will force Hernandez to sign. Gerardo Torres reports from Tegucigalpa for teleSUR.
