Venezuela, Guayana Set to Resolve Border Dispute

In a meeting held during the 70th UN General Assembly mediated by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his Guyanese counterpart David Granger agreed to resolve the border dispute between the two countries. As a start, the respective ambassadors will return their posts. A UN technical committee will visit Venezuela in the next few days to consider the country's claims to the Esequiba region and set a deadline for resolving the dispute. teleSUR
