Deep into the war-weary, far-removed forest of northern Central African Republic, the village of Bocaranga is bouncing back from years of violent crisis in the most unusual of ways, Joggling; to jog while juggling.
Richard Ross, an accomplished American "Joggler," and program manager for the International Rescue Committee, based in the NGO's sub-office in Bocaranga created the #CARJugglingClub. Every Saturday, the club brings Muslim and Christian children together, practicing, performing and offering the community a rare opportunity for structured recreation. Since the club's creation this summer, hundreds of Bocaranga's residents can now juggle and many of them, like Richard, prefer to do so while running.
