Votimi i ligjeve qe kërkojnë shumice te cilësuar dhe ngritja e komisionit për reformën zgjedhore, kane rritur pritshmërinë e qeverise shqiptare për një qëndrim me pozitiv te Bashkimit Evropian ndaj kërkesës për marrjen e statusit te vendit kandidat. Ministrja e Integrimit Majlinda Bregu, duke theksuar se ishte bojkoti i opozitës qe pengoi procesin e integrimit, vlerëson se ne dhjetor, gjate mbledhjes se ministrave te jashtëm te BE, pritet te reflektohen rezultatet pozitive te prodhuara për shkak te arritjes se marrëveshjes PD-PS. Sipas ministres Bregu ne rast se fryma konsensuale vazhdon te përçohet ne parlament, atëherë Shqipëria mund ta marre statusin e vendit kandidat para vjeshtës se vitit te ardhshëm. Ne tetor për here te dyte Shqipërisë iu refuzua statusi i vendit kandidat për shkak te mosplotësimit te 12 rekomandimeve. Votimi i se enjtes për reformën zgjedhore, reformën parlamentare si dhe votimi i disa kodeve me konsensus, janë pjese e këtyre rekomandimeve dhe prandaj reagimi i Brukselit ka qene entuziast për këtë kompromis te munguar prej 2 vitesh.
Voting laws requiring qualified majority and the establishment of the commission on electoral reform, have raised expectations of the Albanian government for a more positive attitude towards the European Union's application for candidate country status. Bregu Integration Minister, stressing that it was the opposition boycott that prevented the integration process, estimates that in December, during the meeting of EU foreign ministers are expected to reflect the positive results produced due to reach agreement AM-PS. According to Coast minister if the consensual spirit still conveyed in parliament, then Albania could get candidate status before the fall of next year. In October for the second time Albania was refused candidate status due to failure of 12 recommendations. Thursday's voting for electoral reform, parliamentary reform and voting on some consensus codes are part of these recommendations and therefore the reaction of Brussels has been enthusiastic about the compromises of the missing of 2 years.
