52 është numri zyrtar i muzeve ne te gjithë vendin dhe sipas Ministrise se Kulturës vetëm 12 prej tyre nuk janë funksional. Por duket se kjo shifër nuk është reale, pasi pjesa me e madhe e muzeve ne rrethe vuajnë degradimin, grabitjen e koleksioneve dhe ekzistojnë vetëm si ndërtesa. Realitetin e ka pranuar vete Ministria e cila ka mbledhur komitetin shtetëror te muzeve, për t'i dhënë zgjidhje afatgjate problemeve përmes hartimit te një strategjie. Takimi ka sjelle debate mes arkeologut Muzafer Korkuti, ministrit Aldo Bumci dhe kreut te Institutit te Krimeve te Komunizmit, Agron Tufa. Specialistet ishin te gjithë ne një mendje mbi gjendjen e mjerueshme te muzeve dhe mundësinë qe duhet t'i jepet nismës private. Edhe shndërrimi i ish-burgut te Spaçit ne muze, projekt tashme i diskutuar prej vitesh, u quajt si mjaft i vonuar nga specialistet. Nevoja për dokumentimin e luftës se ftohte përmes materialeve arkivore te ushtrisë, apo krijimi i një muzeu me skulpturat e realizmit socialist ishin disa nga idetë e tjera qe prezantuan nga specialistet.
