Përfaqësuesja e OSBE për median, Dunja Miatoviç, ka paraqitur ne komisionin parlamentar te medias një liste te gjate me probleme me te cilat shtypi dhe radiotelevizionet shqiptare përballen sot. Sipas OSBE-se, Shqipëria nuk përballet vetëm me mungesën e pavarësisë ne televizionin publik, mungesën e pavarësisë se KKRT, por edhe me ndikimin e qeverise tek media e lire, nëpërmjet ndarjes se reklamave shtetërore vetëm tek mediat e preferuara. Miatovic ka kërkuar legalizimin sa me shpejte te transmetimeve dixhitale, duke garantuar pluralizëm te tregut. Sipas saj, ndryshimet e fundit ne Kodin Penal për heqjen e dënimit me burg ndaj gazetareve për veprën e shpifjes, nuk janë te mjaftueshme, pasi kjo vepër duhet te hiqet plotësisht nga kodi. Përballe këtij konstatimi nënkryetari i komisionit, Mark Marku është përpjekur te mbrohet duke thënë se pavarësisht ligjit qeveria ka ndërmarrë nismën publike për te mos ngritur padi ndaj medias për shpifje, por për përfaqësuesen e OSBE-se, Miatovic, kjo është krejt e pamjaftueshme,pasi problemi qëndron tek sistemi. Miatovic do te qëndrojë për disa dite ne Tirane dhe do te takohet, jo vetëm me politikane, por edhe aktore ne fushën mediatike, për te patur një panorame te plote te situatës problematike te lirisë se medias ne vend. Te enjten ajo pritet te mbaje edhe një konference për shtyp me konkluzionet e vizitës se saj ne vendin tone.
OSCE media representative, Dunja Miatoviç, presented to the parliamentary media with a long list of problems that the Albanian press and broadcasters face today. According to OSCE, Albania faces not only the lack of independence in public television, lack of independence that the National Council but also the impact of the Government to free media, by sharing a single state to media advertising preferred. Miatovic requested as soon legalize digital broadcasts, ensuring market pluralism. According to her, recent changes to the Penal Code with imprisonment penalty against journalists for defamation work, are not sufficient, as this work must be completely removed from the code. Against this conclusion the commission deputy, Mark Mark is trying to defend by saying that despite the law the government has launched a public initiative of the media not to sue for libel, but the representative of OSCE, Miatovic, this is quite insufficient, as problem lies in the system. Miatovic will stay for several days in Tirana and will meet not only with politicians but also actors in the media field, to have a full picture of the problematic situation of media freedom in the country. On Thursday it expected to hold a press conference with the findings of her visit to our country.
