Kryeministri Sali Berisha ka shfrytëzuar forumin e BLED-it në Slloveni për te theksuar vullnetin e qeverise për te kufizuar imunitetin duke plotësuar kështu një nga 12 rekomandimet e Komisionit Evropian për statusin e kandidatit. Ndërsa ka akuzuar opozitën për ngadalësimin e procesit te integrimit, lideri i mazhorances ka pranuar se do te tentoje serish konsensusin ne parlament për çështjen e imunitetit para se t'ju drejtohet qytetareve për referendum popullor. "Disa probleme të brendshme të bazuara në kalkulime, për mendimin tim të dështuara politike, kanë shkaktuar ngadalësimin e këtij procesi. Një debat po zhvillohet mbi imunitetin. Jam thellësisht i bindur se vendi im duhet ta heqë imunitetin dhe kjo duhet të ndodhë. Ne po përpiqemi të punojmë që ta heqim atë në Parlament. Por në rast se kjo nuk do të jetë e mundur, shqiptarët do të kenë të drejtën të shprehin mendimin e tyre mbi këtë çështje fondamentale," është shprehur Berisha. Kryeministri gjate fjalës se tij ne këtë forum është ndalur edhe tek ekonomia, duke pranuar se Shqipëria i ka ndier pasojat e krizës. Për te përballuar këtë situate te vështire Berisha ka kërkuar edhe ndihmën e BERZH-it gjate një takimi qe ka pasur me Presidentin e këtij institucioni, Suma Chakrabarti. Sipas kryeministrit, penalizimi i vendeve si Shqipëria, që nuk është pjesë e eurozonës, por vuan efektet e politikave frenuese të bankave të unionit, duhet të zbutet nga institucionet financiare si BERZH.

In order to cope with this difficult situation Berisha has asked the EBRD's assistance during a meeting you had with the President of the institution, Suma Chakrabarti. According to the prime minister, penalizing countries like Albania, which is not part of the eurozone, but suffers inhibitory effects of union bank, should be mitigated by financial institutions such as the EBRD.
