Battle 2:
Winter Soldier vs Deathstroke:
As a masked mercenary named Deathstroke begins to attack critical HYDRA outposts and workers, Alexander Pierce sends in his best warrior, the Winter Soldier, to combat him before he does any more damage.
Captain Cold vs. Alexsi Sytserkovitch:
Alexander Pierce goes to Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold, for a certain favor. A russian mercenary named Alexsi Sytserkovitch has made off with a vital supply of plutonium stolen from a HYDRA shipment. Captain Cold agrees to take care of Alexsi, but asks for soemthing in return.
Joker vs Whiplash:
As the Winter Soldier faces off against Deathstroke, Alexander Pierce goes to the house of Norman Osborn, proposing to use his tech and his resources for the needs of his benefactor. Norman accepts the offer, but tells Pierce of the Joker and how he was defeated by the cackling menace, requesting that Pierce take him down. Pierce, having already sent the Winter Soldier, sends another to do away with the Joker, a whip cracking warrior who calls himself Whiplash. Whiplash finds the Joker in the middle of a highway, doing away with the police force. Whiplash prepares to meet the Joker in battle, but learns that there's more to this clown than it seems.
Scarecrow vs Sandman:
After the defeat of Deadshot at the hands of Bullseye, Oswald finds himself in need of another bodyguard if he is to survive Fisk's assaults. He speaks to Dr. Crane, a psychiatrist who has been creating a "fear toxin" as he calls it. Oswald tells Crane that he will give Crane a chance to prove himself, as a theif named Flint Marko, who also calls himself "Sandman" has made off with some of Oswald's fortunes. Crane, along with some of Oswald's henchmen, corners Sandman at a sewer, where he shows he's more than a match for Crane's men. Crane manages to spray Marko with his fear toxin, allowing his fear and regret to consume Marko, but not before getting some unexpected help.
Loki vs Faora:
After being captured by Zod, Loki is met by his lieutenant, Faora, who interrogates Loki before Loki reveals his greatest ability, the power of illusion, which he uses to reveal he was never really captured at all. Instead, he was in the ship, looking to destroy Zod's world engine. Faora manages to find him, and attempts to stop Loki from destroying the World Engine.
Epilogue:
In a secret base hidden in the Alps, Alexander Pierce calls together the Winter Soldier, the Green Goblin, Captain Cold, and Lex Luthor and reveals who he has been working for to them. The Red Skull explains that he sent Alexander Pierce to recruit them to become commanders in his army, which he shall use to conquer the world. All agree except Luthor, who argues against Red Skull, and after a while, attempts to kill him. However, Luthor finds out he is outgunned, and flees to Lexcorp, where he invites Ra's Al Ghul, who survived the destruction of his home by Red Skull, Deathstroke, who only narrowly managed to escape the Winter Soldier, and the Joker, who had recently killed Whiplash after defeating him, all of whom Lex knew would have bad blood against Red Skull and HYDRA. He recruits them to command his own army, and shows them his own project to conquer the world. The three accept, and Luthor looks to go to war against Red Skull. Meanwhile, Zod witnesses the destruction of the World Engine by Loki, who escaped in one of Zod's ships. Zod goes to inspect the wreckage, and finds the dead body of Faora. Upon seeing his lieutenant dead before him, Zod grows enraged, and declares revenge on Loki as he escapes. All content belongs to Marvel and DC respectively. I own nothing.
