Footage has emerged from China of visitors at a ski slope getting trapped and jumping off cable cars which suddenly started moving backwards... fast.
In the video, captured by a bystander in Beijing on Saturday, a few passengers can be seen jumping off the chair lifts under the advice of another bystander.
According to news reports, the chairlifts were climbing towards the top of a hill when a sudden power outage caused the system to roll back.
It moved for about 500 metres and then stopped in the middle, trapping some skiers in the air for 20 minutes.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
