Brian heads to Tasmania when his younger brother goes missing during the middle of a mysterious quarantine. Upon his arrival at this deserted island, he discovers that the only inhabitants who are actually left are demonic spirits that have infested the island. In order to survive this barren landscape, he must follow a set of rules, some of which include covering himself with human ashes in order to cloak his presence from the malevolent entities he encounters at every turn.
Will this buy enough time for Brian to find his brother, or will they both be stuck in this hellish realm where the dead roam free, forever?
