A good rule of thumb for a horse is it can carry about 20% of its own weight, which would be about 200lbs on average. Most horses can comfortably handle a little more than that – cavalry horses had to carry upwards of 250lbs back in the day. This horse probably just doesn’t like tubby dudes at all.
