Sunny Sebastian was born on 10th of October in Kochi, Kerala State.Sunny got his singing passion from his Childhood. His beloved Mother was his first GURU in MUSIC. His Mother Smt. E. J. Eliyamma learned Carnatic Classical Music from Tripunithura RLV Music Academy Kerala State. She was Junior to the famous singer Late. Smt. P. Leela.
1978 on wards Sunny started singing at St.Mary's Cathedral Basilica Church Choir, Ernakulam.
In 1979, He became the disciple of Veteran Music Director Shri. K. K. Antony Master at KALABHAVAN. Sunny learned Carnatic Classical Music for 4 years from his Beloved Guru Antony Master.
In 1982 Sunny achieved Best Singer Award for Light Music from Kerala University.
In 1983 Aug. 30th Tuesday at 8 am Sunny Sebastian left India to U.S.A. for Live Shows as a Lead Malayalam Singer with KALABHAVAN TROUPE. In AMERICA He did 12 Live Shows.
In1984 Aug. 7th Tuesday Sunny became the B Grade casual Artist in Light Music (Vocal) at A.I.R. Thrissur.
From 1980 To 1986 - During this time he sung more than 75 private Malayalam - Christian, Muslim & Hindu Devotional Albums.In 1986 Jul. 24th Thursday, Sunny did his First Live Urdu Ghazal Show at SAGARIGAGA Auditorium in Naval Base, Kochi.
In 1986 Sunny left Kerala to North India. While studying M.A. in English at H.P.University, Shimla, there Sunny learned Hindustani Classical Music for 2 years from his Beloved Guru Shri. S.D. Battu, thus he became a disciple of PATIALA GHARANA.In that period he learned Urdu Language from Shri. Dr. Rana Saheb.
In 1988 Sunny reached Bombay. In 1993 a Tele film Director Shri. Rajesh Singh gave him a chance and he sung a Hindi song for a Hindi Tele film called "MADHUBAN".
In 1994 He left from Bombay to Chennai.With help of Shri. Devanarayanan, his Tamil Guru ,Sunny sung Tamil songs for Christian Devotional Albums, Tele Films and T.V.Serials like "RAMAYANAM" "SHRI KRISHNA" and "MAHABHARATAM".
In 1999 Aug. 22nd Sunday, in Chennai Sunny met Shri. Johny Sagariga - Managing Director of the famous Music Company - “JOHNY SAGARIGA MUSIC COMPANY”.
In 2005 Sunny Sebastian was selected for SAMSUNG SUPER SINGER TALENT CONTEST conducted by Channel [V] in Mumbai. He was judged by World’s Renowned Eminent Music Director Music Maestro Shri. A.R. Rahman with him Shri. Adnan Sami and Shri.Himesh Reshammiya. In 2005 Jan. 18th Tuesday Sunny was in the 10 Finalists of Samsung Super Singer Talent Contest held in Mumbai.
N o w a d a y s...He is Singing Urdu Ghazals at Le Meridien Five Star Hotel Kochi, Every THURSDAY & SUNDAY at 7.30 pm to 10 pm.Singing for his own Live Ghazal Troupe - “Mehfil - e - Ghazal” and Singing Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil Devotional New Albums for JOHNY SAGARIGA MUSIC COMPANY.
Can Speak : Malayalam, English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil & Urdu. Can Understand : Malayalam, English, Hindi,Bengali, Tamil, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujrathi& Marathi.
