Mumbai gets its first-ever A.C. local train

Mumbai, Apr 05 (ANI): Mumbai on Tuesday got its first air-conditioned local train. The train, which is worth Rs 55 crore, will first have to undergo a test by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and its associates before being operational for the public. At the beginning the speed of this silver-blue coloured A.C. local train will be limited to around 50-60 kmph for the first few trials. The train is currently stationed in Kurla. The rail authorities are planning to keep two out of six coaches for women.
