Chamoli, May 12 (ANI): After the annual winter closure, sacred doors of the Badrinath shrine reopened for the devotees. Elaborated rituals preceded the formal opening of the shrine. Chief Priest Ishwar Prasad Namburi threw the doors open at 4.35a.m. in presence of Mandir Samiti officials and thousands of devotees. Over 8,000 devotees visited the shrine on the opening day.
